Kashi is a space where Yogis create powerful energy transactions through years of self-cultivation. Rituals are a method of holding the attention of the masses and offering nature’s impulse. These rituals are codified. Priests follow the code. Their actions create a certain impact on seekers/ onlookers who stand witness. An ounce of divinity being transferred to the masses, who don’t have the wherewithal to engage in austerities or yoga. Here ritual acts as a software code.
It is in the Kashi Vishwanath temple that the Sapta rishi (seven sages) Aarthi occurs at around 7pm every night. Shiva transmitted this technology to seven sages or seven preceptors the secrets of yoga and then asked them to spread it to the seven corners of the world. Watching the Sapta rishi Aarthi at the Kashi Vishwanath temple is a surreal spiritual experience. The priests chant words that originated in the Sama Veda and are set in the Hindustani raga, Shree. Seven of them sit in a circle around the small lingam generating the necessary momentum to facilitate energy to open the impulse of the space. They hold stacks of flickering oil lamps that they move in a synchronized way. Temple bells clang. All of it builds up a certain vibration that even the most sceptical non-believer can feel, this is a phenomenal technology that has been maintained for thousands of years to maintain the sanctity of this portal system.
Kashi is a space for those seeking well-being at an emotional, energetic and spiritual level. This is a time and space where you can experience the vastness and emptiness of source and reset your life to a renewed sense of self.Kashi is a yantra of the cosmos and in being in that space one becomes available to their own sense of being. This allows an authentic orientation and guidance into one’s life purpose and journey, with the acknowledgement of this vast quantum science.
The quality of the Ganga River at Kashi has a unique resonance as it exudes an energy which can cause forgiveness or transgressions and helps attain salvation. Yogis have been able to take control of space and time here and attain Siddhis as a consequence.
During this period of Mahashivaratri, there is an upsurge of natural potent energies, which activate rejuvenation, cellular activation and releasing the bondage of worldly afflictions. This platform of Kashi aids release of ancestral trauma, which can appear in the form of hronic health, emotional upheavals and socially induced difficulties. Kashi promotes longevity, complete expression of worldly ambitions and a natural awakening of the spiritual journey.
Kashi is significant to all religions; it does not segregate any tradition as it is a space created with the compassion of nature to allow awakening for the one who is seeking.
